Currently, research is underway to ensure that this technology can be designed so that it is easily hand-held. There is also a possibility that issues ascribed to safety in relation to the x-rays emitted by the x-ray florescence spectroscopy. More efforts are also currently directed towards creating platforms for people to undertake research and innovation to improve the performance of this technology.
