The paper “The Toyota Production System - Lean integrated Design and Production” is a meaningful example of the case study on management. The following case study report describes the effectiveness of the lean production system in a construction field. For a clear and easy approach, I correlate a real-time scenario of a prefabrication concrete elements production factory. This factory is actively engaged in a massive infrastructure project at my workplace. I am very well associated with this organization in the position of client’s Technical coordinator. So there is a lot of incidents I am not pleased about their production process. Therefore, I got plenty of good opportunities to seriously evaluate the current process and frame the drawbacks of the existing system.

Also in this case study, I elaborated on the lean principles in correlation with the production system and their alternative approaches. A lean principle is an effective tool of the Toyota management system which is being effectively implemented in the production process in manufacturing industrial sectors. Further, I detailed the various implementation plans and their effectiveness by measuring their performance.

The construction industry's primary objective is to transform the virtual designs into reality. Construction is a primitive job of human being and it has existed from the Stone Age. All our civilization replicates the growth of construction activities in various centuries. The present world encroaches with various modern construction activities throughout the world. Even though many modern hi-tech approaches and systems are in place, but still most of these industries embossed with the conventional approach in all their process from design to construction.

The present competitive world growing at a faster pace which demonstrates that the civil engineering projects need to be unique in all prospectus of the engineering. Further, the recent economic downturn envisaged a huge negative impact in all industries globally, especially it gave a serious long term impact on construction growth. Therefore construction industries need to re-visit their process approach in all aspects of their product realization.
