Members of the team make use of joint effort to spring up initiatives prior to deciding, which development path is suitable for the project. According to Marks and Richards (229), teamwork is vital because of the analytical synergy obtained from various brains working on a resolution. When an individual works hard to solve the organisational setback, that individual just has his/her individual knowledge as well as experience from which to draw the needed solutions. However, through teamwork, members of the team pool their shared concepts jointly to produce exceptional concepts for handling the organisational setbacks. Setbacks in this instance are not only off-putting; instead, the challenge might be designing an artefact for a customer to satisfy the desired by the customer. 2.0 Barriers to Communication That May Prevent a Team from Working Effectively Chen (249) claims that successful teamwork can bring about various advantages to business organisation such as enhanced communication, a wider sense of responsibility, and expansive relationship. However, there are various barriers that may prevent team from working effectively, which business managers must recognize and remove. Promoting industrious teamwork in the midst employees will make job more comfortable and assist the business organisation to be successful. 2.1 Pitiful Communication Whereas enhanced communication can promote teamwork, deplorable communication presents a hurdle in developing a prolific work environment. According to Parumasur and Govender (642) team members who fail to communicate, or lack knowledge of suitable communication methods to employ in the team, may generate failures that slow down development of the team. For this reason, managers must be conscious of the team communication and must be in a position to identify when pitiful communication is slowing down the success of the team. 2.2 Indistinguishable Goals Basically, a most work teams are created to realize goals in the place of work. More importantly, those goals may be rooted from a certain project, or perhaps may be the current goals that describe the responsibilities of each department. Failure to present organisational goals clearly or if the entity role of all team members in realizing those goals are indistinguishable, then it will be hard for team member to work efficiently. 2.3 Lack of Managerial Participation In business organisation, teams are created by managers and the contain staff members who are qualified and who can finish preset projects or tasks within the provided time frame. However, when the manager fails to participate in the implementation of its team duties, the capacity to generate an effective teamwork setting is endangered. All teams require a person in charge, and when the team leaders are not available to farm out duties and act as a source to members, and then the team will ultimately perform poorly. 2.4 Self-esteem Marks and Richards (231) posit that teams that have members who value themselves more than other team members will create a challenging platform that will reduce productivity. Every team member is allocated responsibilities in the team, but if the workers feel best suited for other roles as well as hamper their teammates’ work, in that case the dynamic of the group is under threat. For this reason, members of the team must control their egos and concentrate on the allocated project to facilitate development of an effective team. 2.5 Physical Barriers In case members of the team are physically far from one another, like in distinct towns, cities, or department, in that case communication can be hampered. In teams, face-to-face communication offers a great means of sharing intents and ideas, and failure to carry it out hastily and simply can with no trouble generate a communication hurdle. 2.6Cultural Barriers Teaming up for a certain project in a foreign country, language can bring about enormous hurdle to communication amongst the team members. A global based company has employees from diverse culture, which undoubtedly can avert effective communication as well as full comprehension. Besides, cultural barriers as well consist of factors like failing to share co-worker's beliefs, humour, or religion. 3.0 Behaviours that Could Cause Conflict in a Team 3.1 Conflicting Personalities Naturally, two people will never be alike, and within a team setting, this is even more articulated. Beside, whereas one team member may approach life in intuitively, the other team member may see it logically and rationally. Even though having distinct characters on a team may enhance its power, it can as well bring about conflict. Basically, if a member of the team sees a particular circumstance as intimidating to his religions, conflict takes place. 3.3 Stress All team members have their personal life. Whereas one member of the team may live quietly with life that free from stress, another team member may perhaps have monetary uncertainties, parental issues or marital stress. The day after day stress can depressingly influence the affected member of the team, making him/her to address other team members with hostility. Besides, if other members of the team fail to notice, comprehend or be concerned about their team member behavior, conflict may erupt easily among the members. 3.4 Self-image An individual's self-image is a strong inducement pertaining to how he behaves as well as his/her decisions. The self-image can make a team member think he/she is at all times correct; thus he/she cannot easily accept his/her mistake, even when he is obviously mistaken. In a group setting, when the self-image is prevailing but unfounded, supremacy struggles can surface, bringing about conflict. 3.5 Trust Violation When the group confidence is broken by the team member, a violation of trust and trust takes place. This trust violation makes the influenced individual to respond expressively; thus, generating conflict. Faith and trust can make members of the team be positive as well feel protected, and if ruined, it generates strong feelings, bringing about pain. 3.6 Unsettled Issues It is usual for differences to crop up in a team setting, but Marks and Richards 234) believe if these differences are unsettled, they can worsen. As soon as another incongruity crops up, the unsettled issues resurface, intensifying the state of affairs; thus, if these issues are not handled on time, it will lead to conflict. 4.0 Solution to Stress In teamwork stress among team members can be solved by enthusiasm: for a team member to be enthusiastic, he has to act enthusiastically by being optimistic and avoiding pessimism that may have an effect on him/her. In teamwork, unenthusiastic energy can leak through one team member to other team members around him/her, but when he/she is enthusiastic he/she can convey the affirmative energy to other team members. Enthusiasm destroys every unconstructive venomous that supply the negativism’s seed such as stress, and if that seed is not destroyed by enthusiastic power will grow and produce negativism fruits, which will be supplied to the team members; therefore, when a team member is enthusiastic he can perform things efficiently and with effectiveness. 5.0 Own Strengths and Weakness as a Team Member 5.1.0 Strengths 5.1.1Can Demonstrates Dependability I am a dependable team member who work time effectively and ensures my fair work share done resourcefully. I always follow through my tasks, and reliability is my key. 5.1.2 Communicates Constructively I understand that Teams must have members who speak their mind and communicate their ideas and thoughts plainly, directly, sincerely, and with esteem for others team members. That is why i always ensure I communicate constructively, and does not draw back from sharing ideas; instead I always speak my mind confidently, positively, and respectfully. 5.1.3 Listens Keenly I am a good listener, and i know good listening enables effective communication in team setting. I am also a team player who is able to understand and take into account concepts and opinions from other team members devoid of arguing and debating all points. 5.1.4 Exhibits Dedication to the team i always exhibit dedication to the team by caring about their work , and all the times I attend team meetings with commitment forthright. I know that if i exhibit dedication and offer an excellent effort, other team members will do the same. 5.2.0 Weakness 5.2.1 Sometimes I get nervous around people Presently, with the introduction of the novel work culture wherein an individual hardly ever meets another team member except when they meet for coffee breaks, it has made me to feel nervous around some of my team member.  5.2.2 A Debater I am an individual who is fervent about work, but to many of my team mates they think I am an antagonist to change: this makes me argue with most of them 5.2.3 Going out of one’s Way In our organizations a number of people always have the desire to help their team mates to finish their tasks. I always have the heart to help my team members, but sometimes I overstep and go out of one’s way. 5.2.4 Lack of some skills obviously, not every workers has the needed skills to perform a certain task, and most of the time when given hard projects, I ran out of skills to perform effectively. 6.0 Ways to Improve Own Ability to Function Effectively In A Team 6.1 Effective Time management To effectively use my time, I always keep a to-do list, which is a prompt system that tell me of when i must do; thus, helping me to reduce the stress of memorizing everything in my head. I always walk with a paper and paper when I go to meeting. My simplest reminder system is my diary, in which i record the important things i must do, such as deadlines and appointments. 6.2 Prioritizing Workload One method that I use to prioritize workload and monitor the deliveries is by keeping a list of projects and deadlines. I realized that when one is concerned about deadlines, he/she will write in their diaries, where they can check often to know what is outstanding and at what time. In my case, I use an uncomplicated online list. 6.3 Ability to Learn from Others I always know personal/emotional development should not be seen as weakness point, and every person has a right to learn from other team members. 6.4 Self Managed Learning This helps me in offering guidelines on how i can partake a team project, with or with no assistance of others team members. Through self managed learning i can formulate personal objectives, diagnose personal needs, enforce appropriate education strategies, as well as analyze project results. Conclusion Teamwork is the keystone of effective communication in a business organisation. When working independently or as individuals on assignments, most employees may not willingly share novel information or knowledge. Due to insufficient communication, the time used to complete a project increases drastically, and the task of developing solutions takes long.
