Writing Self Awareness Customer’s Name Customer’s Grade Course Customer tutor’s Name 27th May, 2010 Abstract This is a report that covers an outline of theoretical concepts which are of relevance to self awareness, and also giving discussions on the implications of these skill areas towards an effective management practices. The major skills which have relevance towards self awareness have been described in details with a short description on how such theoretical adoptions can be effective towards proper management. This has been brought out with an introductory executive summary, an introduction part, and analysis of the theoretical concepts, and their significance within management practices. Executive Summary Management is something of great importance, and which cannot be avoided in any manner in any given organizational achievement. This has to be done effectively when there has been the integration of proper theoretical concepts which are relevant to self awareness. Such concepts delivers the emotional skills which have the ability of reducing stress and also facilitating adaptability to different situations and decisions which have been arrived at for proper management. Self awareness encompasses the meta-effect ability and cognitive which promotes active management procedures. Self awareness is what guarantees proper relationship with the emotional attributes and linguistic abilities, and by so doing being able to derive decisions which promote behavioural activities and performances within the organization through proper coordination. This report therefore mentions some of the theoretical concepts which have relevance to self awareness and how a person can improve his or her skills in having proper attributes which have the ability of promoting management through adoption of different theoretical approaches. After selecting such theories which have the ability of fostering proper self awareness, it will be necessary to have proper applications which will be able to promote performance. Introduction Theoretical concepts relevant to self awareness have the ability of improving performance and management within any kind of organizational framework. Such comes up with theories and orientations which make sure different individuals have such kind of self-awareness which facilitates problem solving within any organizational framework (Seligman, 2004). This comes up with intellectual attributes which have the capability of enhancing performance and as well reduce stress which might be brought forth by the actions an individual is engaged in and how decisions are made. Towards better management practices and with adoption of appropriate self awareness, there is the necessity of having proper theories which should be adopted for effective management practices. This is exactly what this paper will be discussing. Theoretical Concepts Relevant to Self Awareness There are very many theoretical applications and adoptions which have been noted to be of great relevance when it comes to self awareness. The first is the emotional disposition which promotes self awareness, either on the positive or on the negative depending on how it has been adopted and initiated into the mind of an individual. As well, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and intelligentsia is altogether another theoretical adoption which manages the degree and nature of self awareness which an individual can be able to develop (Robert & Watts, 2006). These integrate sub sections of empathy and sympathy which might as well have concrete roles within any form of management operation, and especially on oneself. As well, theoretical approaches have significance when they have been able to apply logical certainty and mathematical intelligence towards a better correlation with the aspects of problem solving, adding value to performance, adaptability, and also promote optimism. Such attributes have the capability of fostering appropriate self disposition and awareness which is projected to other players in the interaction or within the organizational framework, and hence be able to achieve better management processes and gains in the long run (Welton, 2003). Stress tolerance is another element which propagates proper awareness on an individual, and by so doing being able to apply logical reasoning thus being in a position of improving the person’s goals and involvements. Self management of emotional developments is important for proper self awareness, and hence creates mathematical certainty which promotes performance and as well improving chances of withstanding all forms of stress, be able to solve them, and also remain entirely optimistic towards finding notable solutions to any kind of problem which might be faced within the organizational framework. Linguistic ability presents another theoretical approach which can help in promoting performance. Since such are in harmony with personalized characteristics of an individual, it becomes possible to adapt to any emotional attribute and thus be able to achieve any form of management of oneself (Seligman, 2004). Towards proper understanding and self awareness, it becomes possible to achieve proper management and containment of all forms of emotions and heartaches which might be faced. Self efficacy is another conceptual approach which promotes management through fostering appropriate relationship of an individual with other people. Basically, the properly developed is the self awareness the better an individual becomes conscious of himself thus dictating the kind and nature of management that shall be expected. In that case, the overall patterns have been able to give support on the theoretical dispositions and expectations which come from self awareness and the follow-up management, all of which have to be components of self understanding through intrapersonal disposition. Therefore, three main aspects have to be in place for the best of self awareness, and such are behavioural attributes, the affective attribute, and the cognitive ability (Robert & Watts, 2006). This is what promotes self understanding and thereby fostering self awareness for the best management. Once there have been an understanding with such theoretical approaches, management can be done in a proper manner and be able to achieve the best of results from the kind of management which has been out in place. Implications of Self Awareness for Effective Management Practices As we have been able to note from the above discussions, it will be noted that self awareness promotes a holistic kind of understanding which has the capability of enhancing management of oneself, and also for any form of organization (Mehdi, 2006). With management, there have been the needs of ensuring that all individuals within any given organization have been promoted and motivated depending on the kind of managerial approaches which have been put in place. With self awareness, it becomes possible to create cognitive levels which have the ability of fostering development and seeing all people being able to understand themselves. Once such people have been able to achieve this kind of understanding, the individuals are brought into terms with self understanding which sees them being able to address all the problems they face (Robert & Watts, 2006). Whenever bringing any new form of idea within the management process, there will be the great need of applying the necessary tactics which ensures that all the people’s desires and emotions have been adequately put into consideration and by so doing be able to achieve the best of performance. Self awareness will also see the people within an organization being guided appropriately by the human resources. This is because; all the capabilities of such individuals will be well understood, and all forms of operations will be done accordingly for a better performance. Self awareness has been one of the best approaches which have shown good results with anger management (Munson, 2002). In order to effectively management any form of anger, self awareness in management promotes different interactions with different individuals and by so doing be able to achieve the best of performances which guarantees performance on the organization as well. Problem solving in management is always unavoidable, and through self awareness it becomes very possible to solve the problems which might be faced. This kind of awareness thus plays a vital role in ensuring that the best of managerial procedures have been put in place within any given organization. Another important issue worth considering is that any form of management has always been aimed at improving performance and realization of goals. In that case, there has always been the need and necessity of employing self awareness in management so that it can be possible to understand what different individuals are capable of achieving, and through adoption of appropriate human resources, know how such people might be positively influenced for the best performance with the organization (Munson, 2002). With this development and understanding, it becomes possible to understand different individuals going by their attributes and self dispositions, and hence understand how such people can be dealt with, and how they can be accommodated in coping with the other people within the organization. Once the person has been understood, appropriate measurers and procedures will be undertaken and by so doing be able to achieve the best of performance (Mehdi, 2006). As well, proper understanding of a given person will be necessary in containment of personal emotions and as well come up with measures through which the individual will be given the necessary guidelines and decisions. Conclusion From the above discussion, it should be worth noting that proper understanding of self awareness is one of the best approaches which have the capability of promoting management. Since different operations involve human beings, their management is very important since this does promote understanding and coming up with decisions which will promote performance. Therefore, self awareness and understanding is necessary towards the establishment of proper management patterns and realization of goals within the given organization (Robert & Watts, 2006). The adoption of the above discussed theoretical concepts towards management can be important and as well help gain the greatest of results as well. This entails an understanding that the people who have to be managed will be known in and out, and especially with their own dispositions and attributes, and hence there will be better results since the needs and requirements of such people are catered for during the management process. In that case, conceptual analysis and understanding on self awareness has been necessary towards realization of management goals and objectives. References Mehdi, K. (2006).
