The paper "Brochure Design Analysis" is a good example of marketing coursework. A brochure is a highly important item in traveler decision making and also in tourism marketing. A brochure provides details of what the specific company is offering and can even constitute a specific legal contract. It also promotes groups of companies and individual companies. There are many aspects that make a good brochure to stand out clearly. It must create interest among the readers, desire and attention. This section will look into the brochure analysis part of each of the competitors. In order to make good comparisons, it is important to look into the design of the brochures as well as how well the brochures advertise the services offered by the company.

Balloon Aloft is one of the competitors of AAS at Gold Coast. Some of the services offered by Balloon Aloft include daily tours from the country’s spectacular locations. These include Canberra, the Hunter Valley and Camden Valley. There are vouchers that allow customers to be transferred from place to place with much flexibility. Its prices range from $230-$240. The brochure of Balloon Aloft is effective and interesting. It stays upright whenever it is displayed. The brochure is also able to fit into a standard-sized envelope. The colors are highly attractive to the reader and these same colors enhance the brochure. The brochure also has a logo and a slogan. The copies are interesting and formative and the copies have highly sold benefits of the business. The company even won an award in 2010 for being the most outstanding hot air ballooning company in Gold Coast. The brochure generally has all the aspects of a good brochure. Some of the weaknesses, however, include the fact that it does not have a blank shell and the map and directions provided are complicated (Aloft, 2012).

The second competitive company is Balloon Down Under. This company offers exciting offers on the Gold Coast. It is the longest operating hot air ballooning company in Queensland Australia. It has reputations of excellence, safety and professionalism. Tourists float at 1,500-2,000 feet and get stunning views of Byron Bay all the way from Brisbane. The Gold Coast suburbs are also visible. This balloon company’s brochure is the most attractive brochure of the four competitors. Being an old company, it has over the years worked towards enhancing the outlook of its brochure in marketing terms. Some of its offers include free champagne breakfast and the prices are $240. The cover page of the brochure stands out. Its photographs are also interesting and effective showing the beautiful sceneries. The colors are unique and attractive too and the brochure has the ability to fit into an envelope. The font used makes it easy to read and the brochure has both a logo and a slogan. The layout promotes the effective progression of the reader. One of the weaknesses, however, includes the fact that the company faces tough competition from the other balloon companies at the Gold Coast (Under, 2012).

The third competitive company is Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast. Its prices range from $230- $240. It is a balloon company is a fact that normally offers the best prices for hot balloon rides. Some of the beautiful sceneries include Mt. Tamborine sweeping views and the Gold Coast majestic hinterland. Lamington National Park is another beautiful site. The brochure of the Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast is attractive. It has all the qualities of an effective brochure. There are pictures that attract the viewers and the layout is exact. There is a map to show directions and the brochure has the ability to fit into a standard-sized envelope (HotAir, 2012). The brochures have all the strenghts however it is normal for a brochure to have weaknesses. One of its weaknesses is the fact that the cover page does not clearly stand out as the other brochures.
