HUMAN RESOURCES STRATEGY CASE STUDY By Student’s name Course code and name Professor’s name University name City, State Date of submission Abstract The HR strategy has been confused with the business strategy for the long time now .This paper will concentrate on the development of the effective HR strategy that will help the Air catering company to efficiently man the kind of the challenges that they are currently facing and adopt the solutions that can be provided by the human resource strategy development experts. The HR strategy shall be well coordinated in respect with the vision of the company, the culture, the people, and the organization that is involved within the HR systems .Therefore to develop an effective HR strategy the process of constructing the system should be well understood. Introduction Air Catering Company mostly come from the USA and is renowned for the system that they previously had in line with the role that they play in the airline passengers. The HR strategic issue has the most attention in the recent past, to ensure that all the company strategies have been achieved to uphold the success and effective operation of the company in the near future. The changes are inevitable and the people within the company have to solve the challenges that are always calming them down. The development of the HR strategy has various challenges but can be resolved by the HR solutions. All the HR issues should be considered when trying to ensure that the best strategy is adopted to bring about effective movement of the air Catering Company to the upward trend. There is an effort to ensure that the company provides everything to the crew, maintenance, fueling, and management corporate travelers as indicated in the Portland Business Journal by Strom (2002). HR Strategy The individual companies have elevated their performance through the application of the best HR strategy. This is what Borgulllos (2011) in the article about human resource strategy, where it is stated that the, the HR strategy is a coordinated set of actions aimed at the integration of an organization’s culture, organization, the people, and the and the system that are founded in order to find the effective way of having an appropriate HR strategy. In the development of the HR strategy there are some philosophical questions that are to be answered to ensure that the strategies made are achievable. Such questions as where is the company now? Where do they want to be? How do they get there? Are quests that should be commonly asked? The HR strategy has to implement well to ensure that the Air Catering Company works to the higher grounds (Borgulllos, 2011). The performance of the Air Catering Company is fully depended on the best HR strategy at all the levels of the working sections. There are HR strategy issues that can arise in the development of the process of preparing the suitable HR strategy for the Air Catering Company. Since the development of the HR strategy in 1980 in USA it has changed the systems of the companies especially the Air catering Company (Brown and Grundy, 2011). The suitable HR strategy The development of the suitable HR strategy can be achieved by the implementation of the four major dimensions. According to Burguilllos (2011) the dimensions are the culture, which has been found as very broad, the organization in this case where by we have Air Catering Company. People and the HR systems are represented. The beliefs, norms, values and management style should be considered when developing the Air Catering Company HR strategy. When recruiting the members into various levels were they belong in the Company the level of skills, staff potential, and the capable management has to be in place. Planning the HR strategy The HR strategy is grounded on the perfect scale of performance .The philosophical questions will give the glimpse on the process that the Air Catering Company can take .The organization that has four levels can be given the a best approach to uphold there forward movement of the company and the better future . In the four levels there should be gender diversity and mainstreaming that must be implemented. The HR managers have to bring the units into professional organization .While doing this, the culture of the organization be considered .This are the beliefs that every employee should have about the performance of the Air catering .The norms of the organization be laid to ensure that the activities are done according to the norms of the Air Catering that are set. The forming in the company will ensure that other people’s ideas are respected and every employee is regarded in the contribution to success. The organization four levels that is to say the wash down pay, the cold preparation area, hot preparation area, and the pot preparation area should be strategies to ensure that the all the Objectives of the HR strategy are attained .There should be consideration of the experience when assigning the workforce. Sometimes it is even frustrating when the HR managers allow the people who do not have any company experience to work in this levels .In this HR strategy formation the workforce should be given opportunity as they are skilled and the payment to be made promptly. People who are to receive the services from the company are as crucial as the company .There should be service delivery that is satisfactory .The role that the Air Catering has performed from time to time especially in the provision of meals to both the short haul and those flights that are long hauled .The Air Catering company to adopt the better policing that will promise the organizing committee the achievement of the HR strategies that have to boost the performance in relation to the needs of the people. The hourly payment rates that have been made to people according to their grades should be formulated to all the people without any form of discrimination. In the process of job specification and evaluation of the workforce the grading of the members should be developed. The revision of the working hours is also necessary to reduce the previous menace where the Management administered staff enjoys working in the company while others are stressed up by the restless work load. The work force should not necessarily be male but equal opportunities be given to the members .The Air Catering Company to provide the chance for the people to be able to perform their best out of their potentials .This will improve the general performance of the company and the production of quality meals that are served to the people in the Air lines. The disclosure of the failure in the past gives the Air Catering Company the synergy to move and stride to higher heights. The problems of the HR strategy The issues of the HR strategy have traced their pay and reward system as most classic problem around the world. The payment systems that have been installed in the Air Catering Company are designed around the produced. This problem has been a great threat when it comes to product’s quality .The payment systems have not yet changed (Burguillos, 2011). The main problem with HR strategy especially in the Air Catering Company is based on the individual leaders-HR managers. The employees my feel that they are not highly motivated more so when they offer their selfless services to the Company. The leaders have failed to develop enough positive leaders’ skills to establish a culture that can keep the company. They have instead returned to very inhuman methods. Most cases in the Air Catering, the leaders have not yet given positive reinforcement and the feedback that they receive has not mentored them to increase their results .This is ideas have been drawn from the Canadian report by crisp, (2010). In the same report they the Biography of an American specialist titled turnaround kid done by Miller provides the leadership behavior as he notes of lack of listening , favoritism , the ego-generated strategy blindness can be applicable in the current problems that face HR strategy formation in the Air Catering. The employees have faced several challenges with the environment that the Company has provided .The division into the levels provides everybody with the responsibility to perform, but in the real sense the payments are done in terms of their grades. The fringe benefits that are provided to the staff and the employees give them a big gape. The parking spaces for instance are reserved for executive of the organization. According to the professor of the organizational strategy He argues that the major problem experienced is the cultural change. (Brown L. and Grundy T, 2012) There is no balance of the terms and conditions of the work that is provided to the workers. Some other employees enjoy better conditions while the junior staffs have hard times in the corporation .This found a basis to explain why there is the highest rate of the labor turnover. There are also cases that were marked that are associated with the employee’s chronic absenteeism. The HR managers in Air Catering have not solved the reported challenges (Simons, 2011). HR Strategy solutions The challenges are in all the organizations but the best way in which the solutions can be formulated forms the difference. Sometimes the challenges are meant to bring the revolutions that are required to be in the company. There are more challenges in the implementation of the HR strategy but the solutions that are provided have provided hope for the success and better performance of the company. Strategic HR Solutions need to be provided to ensure the current problems have not been carried forward .The principle consultant specializing in the HR strategic plans development have to apply the resent technology in the analyzing the Air Catering company progress in the process of evaluation .There should be consultation service that must be offered with the effort made on the employee relationships with the HR manager and the executive. When doing the Executive Recruitment the major focused should be the level in which the members are making their decisions .The HR infrastructure and the general organizational development is what the organization executive empress though the executive need coaching as well. The senior management leadership should have the knowledge of the company and industry relation, and in the process of recruiting the new staff, they have skills to have the caliber of people who are the best in the Air Catering Company. The HR resolution is to have the executive that is outgoing and ready to demonstrate their expertise. The company should be committed to the clients’ needs and the above in order to develop a communication system that connects all the parties in the organization. Conclusion The HR strategy can add great value to the companies by recruiting proven HR and senior level management professionals with measurable track records. The Air Catering Company has faced since the past very vast experience in Human Resources. The HR strategy is very important in the forward movement of an organization especially in the times when the many challenges have overcome the organization.
